Ink Meditation: Japanese Calligraphy (Shodō)
Japanese calligraphy is not just the art of writing, it is an experience of stillness, presence and inner peace. In this workshop, I invite you to sit with yourself and experience the four treasures of calligraphy - brush, rice paper, ink and ink stone.
We will use tools that have remained unchanged for hundreds of years, and we will paint a hieroglyph that we will choose according to the feeling or spirits that arise in that moment. It is a meditation through the stroke, through silence, through the line.
I discovered Japanese calligraphy more than 15 years ago - it came into my life as a silent but powerful way of finding myself. For me it is not only an art, but also a way to stop, to feel the moment, to express myself without words. This experience cultivates mindfulness, calmness and the ability to be present with what is here and now.
