During a performative act, the group KURTU, together with contact improvisation dancers Aistė Jančiūtė and Vydūnė Žlabytė, will invite participants into a shared creative process, offering an opportunity for both performers and the audience to explore the synthesis of sound and movement emerging from a collective creative impulse.

The duo KURTU (Gytis Simanavičius and Rafael Gimelstein) explores a unique mutual connection in their work, using acoustic instruments and various artistic elements – contemporary dance, live painting – thus inviting both performers and viewers to reflect on themes of identity and interpersonal interaction through a shared creative experience.

Contact improvisation is a form of dance and improvisation in which communication takes place through movement and physical contact with another. Touch is one of the main tools of this practice, inviting the discovery of new movement trajectories. Free motion, embodied dialogue, and nonverbal communication can bring unexpected insights into the self, the environment, and the world.
