Guitar technique improvement lesson (instrument required)

This open level guitar workshop is designed for people who already have a basic foundation in the instrument (how to tune and play chords/finger picking patterns/simple songs etc.).

Participants will learn practice techniques and concepts to refine and improve their technical and expressive facility on the instrument, including how to use a metronome to increase rhythmic fluency, speed and stability. Adrian DiMatteo has performed around the world, and received a degree in Jazz Guitar Performance from the renowned Eastman School of Music, where he studied music theory, performance, history and ear training skills for nearly a decade.

Adrian DiMatteo (B.M. Eastman School of Music, 2012) is the founder of the Sonic Institute. He is an international performing and recording artist, author, music educator, app creator and sound meditation facilitator with over 20 years’ experience in the music world. Adrian has traveled to over 30 countries — exploring sound, language, musical culture and how they affect individual and collective wellbeing. He is a student of Maestro Manuel Rufino and a representative of Music That Heals, offering musical experiences to thousands of people people in hospitals, hospices, elder care facilities, and children’s centers.
